Self-purchased family work is low-threshold, preventive support for families who want to strengthen their everyday life, parenting or interaction at an early stage. The service is voluntary and does not require child protection involvement. <\/p>

The work is goal-oriented but flexible, and is built together according to the needs of the family. Family work can focus on issues such as everyday structures, education, guidance or strengthening interaction. Meetings are conducted in a relaxed way and concrete exercises are carried out in everyday situations. <\/p>

How is this different from child protection family work?<\/strong><\/p>

Self-purchased family work is for situations where the challenges are even lighter and support is needed in time. The work is preventive and based on the family’s own goals. <\/p>

Child protection family work, on the other hand, relates to situations where there is greater concern and the work is more closely controlled by the authorities.<\/p>

Individual meeting<\/strong><\/p>

Strengthening parenting - towards parenting for yourself<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We have developed a parenting empowerment model that aims to increase self-esteem and strengthen the connection with the child. The work is based on strengthening mentalisation skills, the ability to understand one’s own and the child’s emotions and the reasons behind behaviour. <\/p>

Many parents know what they want to do, but it doesn’t always happen in everyday life. In this workshop, we will pause to reflect on our own parenting and look for concrete, everyday ways to do things differently. <\/p>

The coaching takes 12 sessions over 3 months, but often just a few insights can quickly make everyday life easier.<\/p>

The work is preventive and proven in practice. It helps to identify stressful patterns before they accumulate, so it is useful for every parent, not just in challenging situations. <\/p>
