Jenni Harju

Jenni holds a Bachelor of Social Services (AMK) degree and graduated in 2023. She has furthered her expertise through studies in crisis and trauma work as well as the criminal justice system, and she has also completed training in the DKT and Lapset puheeksi methods. Jenni is a certified neuropsychiatric coach for individuals and families. Jenni works as a family coach in residential family rehabilitation. Previously, she worked in child welfare as a children’s home counselor in both the intake unit and the special care unit. She also has experience in early childhood education, including special education in an integrated special needs group. Jenni’s approach to her work is calm, clear, and respectful of her clients. She approaches families with sensitivity and builds her work on the foundation of safe interaction. In her work, she also utilizes speech-supporting and alternative means of communication, such as sign language and visual aids, which enables her to work with a diverse range of clients. Jenni is particularly interested in family rehabilitation, family work, and parenting assessments. She also enjoys working with supported and supervised visitation arrangements. Additionally, she has a strong interest in working with immigrant families as well as children who need special support and their families.
